Ways To Keep Your Toddler Occupied And Encourage Creativity

It is important to keep toddlers entertained in a way that is good for their development. While television can be a good source of entertainment, it is not good for youngsters to stare at a screen for too long, and it does not encourage physical activity. This is why it is a good idea to come up with some really great activities your child can do at home that are healthy and help them to learn.

One really good way for them to be kept occupied is by listening to books on tape. This is a great idea of you need to do some cooking, cleaning or shopping on the internet on www.77diamonds.com. You can sit your child in a comfortable place and let them listen to a book being read out loud, possibly while also having the book in front of them to look at. This will help them to learn, and will also be a fun and chilled-out activity.

To encourage interaction and creativity, you could help your child to do something artistic. Perhaps by painting or drawing with crayons, they can draw whatever they like. It may get messy, but that is all part of the fun of creating something new and exciting. They might want to make a collage, using glue and pieces of different coloured paper. If you make sure they have really safe, child-friendly scissors, then their imagination can really flow.

Playing with toys and dolls is another way that their imaginations can develop. They can make up stories with their toys and have fun acting them out. This can keep toddlers occupied for hours, and is a great thing for them to do if they have friends over to play. This is a great bonding exercise and can be a great way for them to be kept occupied.
