I’ve gotten a number of questions asking about my free printable Star Wars birthday banner hanging above my easy homemade BB-8 birthday cake at Elise’s Star Wars birthday party. I made the printable Star Wars birthday banner myself, and now it’s yours.
Star Wars is a battle between The Dark and The Light …but a birthday party still has to feel like a party, you know? I designed a Lightsaber Color Theme — green, blue, purple and red, plus yellow because, well I like yellow. We’ve got green for Yoda, BB-8 and Qui Gon, blue for Luke, R2D2 and Jedi Anakin, Purple for Mace Windu, Chewie, Han, Lando and Ewoks, Red for Vader, Jabba and Boba Fett, and yellow for Leia, C3PO and Padme.
I used ASTROBRIGHTS Papers for all of them because I love the brightness of their paper. I use their paper a lot and I highly recommend it.
To the character banners, I added a personalized galaxy “Elise is VI” sign inspired by the Star Wars opening credits. You can personalize and print this sign from my etsy store. I love this sign because it feels like the movie but is personalized for the birthday kid.
My printable Star Wars birthday banner comes with lots of characters using icons made by Freepik from www.flaticon.com. I know, I know, the only Force Awakens character is BB-8. We actually held this Star Wars birthday party in October 2016 so we only included BB-8. I may add Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo Ren in the future.
Did I mention that my free printable banner includes free printable cupcake toppers too? You can use them to make some treats to go along with your easy homemade BB-8 birthday cake.

How to make a Star Wars printable birthday banner:
Download my free printable Star Wars birthday banner (PDF). Print the pages that you’d like to have on colored cardstock – I used ASTROBRIGHTS Papers.
Cut it out and punch holes in the corners. Looking cute!
Next, purchase my personalized name sign banner at my etsy store that comes on a star-filled galaxy background (NOTE: It’s kind of hard to see the stars in my photos but they look great in person at the party). You can use this sign as many times as you like for all your birthday party signs – for this birthday banner, to make a front-door sign, signs for party games, you name it.
This is an instant download that you can purchase, type into using Adobe Reader, and print.
String it all on black glitter yarn.
Hang and add balloons to the side. May the Force Be With You. Always!
